This diagram of how our dental system works says it all, and this could apply similarly to any SaaS product when created using our SyncTech development platform in conjunction with a CloudPlus box.
The software is synchronised between the cloud and the on-premises CloudPlus box. The CloudPlus box manages all the connectivity elements of the system as it’s local, so you don’t compromise functionality as with typical pure-cloud software.
If the Internet/broadband goes down the system still works as normal from the CloudPlus box and everything synchronises once it is back up.
Users can of course work remotely using any authorised device 24/7 for domiciliary care (out in the field), general admin or any remote activity; it’s always available - with up-to-date live data.
The CloudPlus box is full of innovative technology including TWO processors; number 1 manages the main software and number 2 runs security processes and connectivity to other local hardware.
The two CPUs have separate power supplies and the connectivity one can cleverly move over to be powered by the other supply if its own fails so you still have full functionality.
If number 1’s power fails you can still work from the cloud in combination with number 2 - again with full functionality.
